Senior Developer - Core Java / J2EE

Job Description
Mastek is looking for a senior developer with strong Core Java skills to work independently in a partner facing mode, willing to participate in support activities. Selected candidates are expected to learn and understand the existing applications and frameworks and contribute to delivery of projects that will involve fixes, enhancements, consulting and migration of the frameworks to new technologies. Candidates are expected to demonstrate high levels of motivation, adaptability, technical aptitude and teamwork to achieve goals. This is a purely technical on-hands job with no people management responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
1. Understand framework code, setup development environments and be able to make enhancements and fix issues depending on project needs.
2. Able to make independent decisions on design and coding standards. Understand system architecture of applications on QA and production systems.
3. Able to quickly understand and follow Mastek quality standards and processes. Should be able to make suggestions for improvements where required.
4. Build partnerships with counterparts and other Mastek developers with effective communication, consistently meeting expectations.
5. Be independently able to handle individual modules/tasks with minimal or no supervision
6. Be willing to work in different shifts to minimize the time difference between EST and IST, as the work demands
7. Be a technology enthusiast; be able to independently write POCs on different technologies and their adaptability to Majesco
Desired Profile
1. High – can work independently in that technology
2. Medium – needs assistance for technology expert
3. Low – may need a lot of assistance from other in the team since little exposure to the technology:

3.Websphere Application Server - Medium
4.UNIX vi debugging - High
5.Opensource technologies - High
