Software Performance Testers
at PAREXEL International in Hyderabad / Secunderabad
Job Description
1. Design and execute test strategies, test plans, test scripts, and test summaries ' Design validation plans, traceability matrix, validation report.
2. Review project requirements and other key project deliverables
3. Act as Software Test Project Leader on various projects
4. Represent Software Test at project team meetings
5. Understand all aspects of the project - technically and administratively
6. Develop overall project validation strategy and approach
7. Develop and implement Performance Testing including Bench Marking, Stress, and Stability
8. Mentor Software Test engineers.
9. Provides guidance and direction to project level efforts
10. Develop and execute detailed test specifications.
11. Records and tracks detailed results
12. Maintain test scenarios and test data for projects under test
13. Work closely with project team members throughout the project software development life cycle
14. Review all pertinent project documentation including requirements, technical specification, project validation deliverables reviews and project walk-through's
15. Participate in software defect review meetings.
16. Monitor and maintain automated software defect tracking database
17. Assist in the creation/maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures
18. Respond to all inquiries regarding the project under test
19. Track issues in defect tracking system.
20. Prepares defect metric reports.
21. Analyzes defect metrics for trends and progress
22. Report on project testing status to management
Desired Profile
1. BS in Computer Science or equivalent
2. 4 years experience in structured software development environment
3. Familiarity with FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP helpful, but not required Experience in bio-medical, medical imaging, and clinical trials data management are desirable
4. Experience with test case design and strategy.
5. Experience with load testing, automation and execution of 3rd party software
6. Experience testing telephony applications is helpful.
7. Excellent knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies
8. Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and test case development; can easily determine what test case is required for various testing scenarios
9. Knowledge of software development languages and tools such as C++, Java, and SQL
10. Experience scripting in multiple languages
11. Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Oracle
12. Knowledge of creating moderately complex SQL queries Familiarity with database design and/or testing
13. Experience supporting multiple concurrent tasks
14. Knowledge of LoadRunner, JMeter, or other performance testing software 15. Ability to work in a high pressure, result/deadline oriented environment
16. Excellent written and oral communications including the production of requirements documents, technical specifications, and other artifacts of a software development process.
Education: UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization
PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization
